This segment aims to provide real-time reports on various ministry activities conducted by our center worldwide. We hope that through your engagement, subscription, and sharing, we can bless more people together and witness the miraculous works of God. Thanks to the Lord’s care and protection, the 10 short-term mission teams for the summer of 2024 have safely and successfully completed their missions on June 30th. Here is the report:
We thank God for the many partner churches that responded to the call of the Great Commission this summer and answered the call from the Tianshan Mountain to participate in the 2024 Summer Short Term Missions Program. From the Central Asia Vision trip who visited Kyrgyzstan on May 19th, to the EFCLA short term mission team left Kyrgyzstan safely on June 30th, GLEC hosted a total of 10 short-term mission teams, reaching 80 mission team members going to Kyrgyzstan this summer. During their stay, they received the mission of God to spread the Love of Jesus to the people as well as plant seeds and build bridges for the Gospel. At the same time, the short-term members themselves felt God’s presence there and witnessed Him bringing many children to faith in Christ, bringing back their experiences to share with more brothers and sisters so that they, too, may feel the call to rise up and go on missions.
From May 19th to the 29th, 9 church leaders from Europe and the United states participated in the Kyrgyzstan Vision Trip to study the various ministries of GLEC in Central Asia.
From June 8th to the 15th, a delegation from the headquarters of GLEC attended the board meetings of primary and secondary schools and universities, discussed education ministries with local coworkers in Central Asia, and participated in the graduation ceremonies of IUCA and the Humanities and Technical College.
From June 10th to the 14th, a joint team of churches from Taiwan and Europe participated in the IUCA College Leadership Camp with 23 participants.
From June 10th to the 17th, the OCCEC mission team of 11 members went to southern Kyrgyzstan for the first time to participate in the Summer Children’s Bible Camp. God showed his Love through these team members, and brought over half of the 55 students to faith in Christ.
From June 10th to the 13th, 5 members from the CEFC of Los Angeles also pioneered a trip to another area in South Kyrgyzstan to participate in a summer children’s Bible camp.
From June 17th to the 21st, 9 members from the CBCCOC, Beacon Community Church, and OCCEC participated in the VBS summer children’s Bible camp at Jabarshy Christian School and helped bring 3 students to Christ.
From June 17th to the 28th, the CEFC of Los Angeles second team of 5 members also participated in two VBS camps at Ivanovka Christian School. We thank the Lord for leading 23 students to make the decision to believe in the Lord.
From June 17th to the 21st, Pastor Jean Lin led a joint team of 8 members from Great Commission Church International in Los Angeles and TRINITY CHINESE MENNONITE CHURCH as well as 5 members from CEFC of Los Angeles to host the first youth leadership camp in the southern region.
From June 24th to June 30th, a 16 member team from EFCLA participated in the VBS Summer Bible Camp at School of Blessings in Tokmok, which held a lasting impression on the students who attended.
Interview with Pastor Hong: We saw these teams, who did not enjoy their vacations in their own homes, Taiwan, the United States, and Europe during the hot summer, vacationing with their families. They came to the mission factory with other brothers and sisters from the church to spread the gospel in this Muslim harvest field, to introduce these young people and these children to Jesus Christ Pray that the Spirit of the Lord will continue to guide us so that we can continue to spread the gospel from the north to the south, and then continue to spread the gospel to the west. We believe that this is what God has given us and what pleases Him! We also sincerely invite you if you have such a burden to spread the gospel in such a restricted place, we will work together as what we call the iron triangle of mission: church, mission and missionaries, we work together. We believe that a solid foundation for missions will be laid. So thank you for your concern and prayers! We believe that not only your investment in financial resources, but also your investment in prayer and your investment in manpower will not only bring fruitfulness to the gospel field, but will also bring fruitfulness to the church and the missionaries. It will also bring the church and the brothers and sisters who participate in short-term missions to meet God here, to see the works of the LORD here, and to have their spiritual lives revitalized and become a blessing to the church.
Those who went to the field to sow the seeds of faith reaped the reward of their work. Thank you to the 80 short-term missionaries for the seeds they planted in the Muslim communities throughout Kyrgyzstan this summer, and thank you to the brothers and sisters for the continued prayers along the way.
